About the Artist

How do you explain your lifelong passion?  How is it you know when you’ve found it?  When do you know?  From a very young age I knew painting was in my blood.  I also knew that it wasn’t something that I chose to do but something I was born to do, however being born in Van Wert, Ohio in 1964 the opportunity to develop on this dream was minimal at best.  Painting was and is my escape…it’s my diversion and it has been my whole life.  I was only able to dabble in my passion sporadically growing up in mid west Michigan.  After moving to Phoenix, Arizona in the early 90’s my passion to paint never really left but life was demanding and painting lost out to the realities of life.  I have only just recently have I been able to really focus my attention on perfecting my artistic technique.   We’ve all heard the old saying “When one door closes another door opens”…. now that door that had lain underdeveloped for far too long has been unlocked and opened.  I invite you to think about the boldness of each brush stroke, the brilliance of each color, and the spirit of the subject in each painting I’ve created.  So, stop for a moment and take a deep breath, close your eyes…I promise you, you will feel the breath of the elk standing behind you, feel the air rush past as the owls fly silently above, or smell the flowers that blow silently through the fields.  This all brings the hustle and bustle of everyday life slowly to a halt so that you may enjoy a calm serenity… if only for a few moments.
