Giclee's & Prints
Summer BFF's. 24x18, 12x9 Giclee on museum quality watercolor paper.

What are Giclee's?

They are reproductions that we are offering are called Giclee Prints. Giclee printing is one of the finest reproduction methods available today. The depth of color far surpasses that of lithographs. The image is first imported into the computer, being scanned in or retrieved from a digital source. The color is then balanced to closely resemble the original art work. After that, it is printed onto canvas or watercolor paper with a sophisticated piece of equipment, similar to a high resolution ink jet printer, by spraying ink on the selected surface. We use archival canvas/paper and inks to produce a long lasting product. As with all paper prints, proper framing behind glass is recommended for display, and exposure to sunlight should be avoided.

What are the advantages of Giclee prints?
  • Museum quality prints that are accepted by museums and galleries worldwide.
  • Projected lifespan is over 135 years under gallery display conditions.
  • More accurate to original art.
  • Allows for enhancements by the artist.
  • Canvas is less expensive to frame and works well where there can be glare from windows.
  • Can be printed in custom sizes.
  • More long term value because of archival printing methods.

America 2009 Giclee Signed and numbered Limited Edition.

I could not help but to think of the state of our country here in 2009. I also thought of past the presidents, George W. Bush, despite whether you liked him or hated him, he had a very tough road to walk. As I looked at the picture I couldn’t help but wonder about that road traveled and the lessons that made each scuff mark........................On a brighter side, it is also fun to think about all the places they had been and what experiences they may have enjoyed.

Maybe another painting will be in order to complete my thoughts.
